The abstracts of the 5th World Conference on Research Integrity will be bundled in an abstract book and be made available as PDF on the conference website. There will be no attempt to publishes the 5th WCRI keynote lectures, oral presentations and posters in the form of a book containing the conference proceedings.
Five journals (Research Integrity and Peer Review, Journal of Research Practice, Journal of Empirical Research on Human Research Ethics, Journal for New Generation Sciences, Journal of Clinical Epidemiology) has shown interest in publishing a special issue or a series of 5th WCRI articles. The editors of these journals will get at least 2 months before the conference the 105 abstracts of accepted oral presentations and the 150 abstracts of accepted posters – thematically ordered in 21 concurrent sessions and 12 thematic poster walks. Each journal decides which presenting authors it wants to invite to submit a paper. There is no exclusivity: multiple journals can invite the same author.
The journals will send a letter of invitation plus the abstract numbers to the conference organizer who will forward the invitations to the presenting authors at issue. Presenting authors will be asked to respond directly to the journal(s) at issue. Accepted papers will be published in a recognizable 5th WCRI issue or series, preferably with each paper indicated by the 5th WCRI conference logo. Although Accountability in Research will not actively invite presenters, that journal also is willing to specify the 5th WCRI as source of papers that are submitted within a year after the conference.
